Niagara - A Gorgeous Color Noir

Niagara is a beautifully filmed gem of a Noir. The color is breathtaking and the scenery is exquisite. 

The story revolves around a vet named George Loomis (Joseph Cotten) who has some mental issues that are intensified by the actions of his stunning but unfaithful wife, Rose (Marilyn Monroe, in a perfect performance).

I won't spoil the plot if you haven't seen it but it's quite a ride, with twists and turns that'll leave you breathless!

Casey Adams (Max Showalter was his real name) and the adorable Jean Peters are cast as a cute couple reluctantly drawn into the Loomis' troubles. They have a wonderful, natural chemistry that makes them very enjoyable to watch.

Niagara Falls plays a unique role in this film; they are in so many scenes that you might as well say they're the stars of the whole show! Every time I watch the movie, I wish I could've gone there IRL before illness made that impossible. But at least I get to see the Falls (and Marilyn) in vivid, eye-pleasing color on my TV screen!
