All About Eve - A Sizzling Drama

All About Eve (1950) is a dramatic film set in the world of Broadway. It pulls no punches in its depiction of stage actors and the lives they lead.

Bette Davis is an absolute joy to watch as stage star Margo Channing, who is obsessing over her 40th birthday and her romance with a younger man, director Bill Simpson, played by Gary Merrill (who Bette later married In Real Life).

Along comes Eve Harrington (Anne Baxter), a worshiping fan of Margo's, who seems to be too good to be true (SPOILER - she is, LOL).

There is a lot of intrigue and backstabbing, revealed by some of the most elegantly cool dialogue your ears will ever have the pleasure to hear. Plus, there are some deep truths laced into the plot about women and aging and relationships that seem very relevant today.

All About Eve is a wonderful, adult, dramatic, humorous film. I highly recommend it!
