Suspicion - An Almost Perfect Hitchcock Film

 

Whenever the Hitchcock film SUSPICION is on TCM I have to watch it. Honestly I think I could LIVE in that movie. I would be the quirky mystery writer Isobel Sedbusk, dwelling alone in her delightfully cluttered old house in that sweet little English village, writing my murder stories and giving quaint, intimate dinners for my friends. What a lovely, simple life.

The only thing that keeps this film from being perfect is the ending. It seems rushed, and I don't think it's actually the two stars riding away in that car. We don't see their faces, after all. LOL
